पाठ 1- साखी (कबीर)

'Sakhi' is literally the Doha verse. There are eight sakhis in this chapter dealing with the various aspects of life. Sakhis are more effective and memorable.

पाठ 2- पद (मीरा)

Both the posts compiled by Meera are devoted to the Krishna. She admires him and also criticizes him whenever required.

पाठ 3- दोहे (बिहारी)

This poem presents the live accounts of a mountainous region.

पाठ 6- मधुर-मधुर मेरे दीपक जल (महादेवी वर्मा)

In the poem presented, poetess has used 'Deepak' as a symbol of her heart full of gentle feelings. The poet has used 'beloved' for his god.

पाठ 7- तोप (वीरेन डंगवाल)

This lesson reminds us that the East India Company which came to India for doing business finally became our ruler. They made some gardens and even prepared some artillery guns. These guns which took the blood of our freedom fighters but one day our ancestors uprooted that power.

पाठ 8- कर चले हम फ़िदा (कैफ़ी आज़मी)

The text presented is written for the film 'Hakeekat' on the backdrop of war. In this poem, the voices of the soldiers' hearts are narrated who are happy about their actions.

पाठ 9- आत्मत्राण (रवीन्द्रनाथ ठाकुर)

Kaviguru believes in the present lesson that lord can make everything possible but he does not want that lord should do whole things for him. The poet wishes that in any calamity, one struggles to succeed in any conflict.

पाठ 10- बड़े भाई साहब (प्रेमचंद)

There is a big brother in the present lesson and a younger brother in the house. Due to being only a few years old, big expectations is required from his side. Being elder, he himself wants to do the same and try whatever he does, will be a benchmark for his younger brother.

पाठ 11- डायरी का एक पन्ना (सीताराम सेकसरिया)

Sitaram Seksaria the author of the presented text, wishing for freedom was one of the same infinite people. Whatever day he sees, hears and used to feel it have recorded it in his own personal diary. In this lesson, we will study what he has written in his diary on 26 January 1931.

पाठ 12- तताँरा-वामीरो कथा (लीलाधर मंडलोई)

This story is of small island group, Andaman and Nicobar where envy became deep rooted. To erase this envy a couple sacrifice their lives.

पाठ 13- तीसरी कसम के शिल्पकार शैलेंद्र (प्रह्लाद अग्रवाल)

This account basically deals with the difficulties that was faced during the making of 'Teesri Kasam' movie.

पाठ 14- गिरगिट (अंतोन चेखव)

In the story written in 1884, the great writer of Russia described a event of Tsarists regime which was prevailing on the basis of Nepotism.

 पाठ 15- अब कहाँ दूसरे के दुख से दुखी होने वाले (निदा फाज़ली)

In this account, the author has described how selfish humans have destroyed natural beauty of the earth.

पाठ 16- पतझर में टूटी पत्तियाँ (रविंद्र केलेकर)

There are two accounts in this chapter. The first account, Ginni ka Sona introduces us not to selfish people but those who are making this world a better place to live in.
